Janarial Clay
Janarial Clay started out as two separate passions between two young friends. It seemed simple enough: Irena was passionate about food, while Evelyn loved animals. When Evelyn discovered the world of clay, she showed it to Irena, who immediately fell in love. She began making simple models of miniature food. She encouraged Evelyn to do the same. Evelyn use more crude tools at first, and felt discouraged with her turnouts. Evelyn then began making miniature animals using air dry clay. She showed them to Irena, who was delighted. As both their talent and their supply of finished figures grew, both girls wondered what to do with the excess. Finally it hit them: They should sell their figurines! The business they created was called Paint Stained Studio. After a few tweaks and changes, Paint Stained Studio evolved to what it is now: a custom clay charm, doll food, and figurines business called Janarial. Evelyn still uses air dry clay, while Irena uses bake clay, and Irena is still in charge of the food while Evelyn makes the animals. These two 13 year old girls grew up with Janarial into what and who we are now. We are excited that Janarial still exists to bring little bits of joy to people around the world and to stand as a cherished memorial to the child in all of us. Here's to childhood!
